Hardcore

A separate character journey where every decision matters.

What the mode includes

  • Separate mail and auction house for Hardcore characters
  • Seasons, challenges and additional vows
  • Death rankings and a memorial to fallen heroes
  • An SOS signal marked on the map

Final season rules and rewards will be published before the mode opens.

PvP formats

Find battles quickly, with dedicated modes for players who prefer PvP.

Planned formats

  • Cross-faction battlegrounds
  • Solo Queue and 1v1 arenas
  • Arena spectating
  • King of the Hill and survival battles

Useful changes reduce waiting and repetitive tasks while preserving character progression.

Everyday improvements

  • Transmog collection with automatic item unlocks
  • Loot multiple nearby creatures at once
  • Up to four professions and talent loadouts
  • A permanent Darkmoon Faire with rotating locations
  • After a wipe the group respawns closer to the entrance
